If you have a Signed Jersey, a collector of Designer Scarves or does cross-stitch as a hobby and not sure where and how to display them, don’t fret. We can encase them in a box frame or sandwich them between two clear acrylics for you to hang them, loud and proud.
Whether it is a football jersey or company shirt, designer silk scarves or a handmade cross-stitch gift for a friend – selecting a modern frame will enhance the entire look. The team will secure the fabrics to a backing to beautify the space, using the stitching and pining method to ensure it stays intact.
All our securing methods are reversible, which means you can definitely remove it at any point of time and it will be in its original state. We will not be using any adhesive e.g., Tapes as it will cause damage to the fabrics and furthermore it will not be able to hold the weight of the item and that will cause the fabric to slide and be out of position. For Fabrics (rugs, tapestries etc.), it will depend on the weight of it. If its light and small sized, we can secure it to a backing. But if its large and heavy, we will have to mount it onto a base to hold the weight.
We treat fabrics as such, the same as we treat any other artworks. Archival materials will be used and also, we recommend a UV Protected Glazing so that the fabric colours won’t fade. Before we start framing, we will steam the fabric to ensure there are no folding creases.
Conservation framing is the use of techniques and materials in the framing process to protect, minimize, or stop the degrading effects of the environmental influences, i.e. sunlight, heat, humidity, and gravity, that constantly attack your framed piece.
Acidic materials create big problems for works of arts, causing foxing and deterioration. Therefore, we use 100% cotton matboards that are acid free, pH-buffered, pH-neutral, chlorine free and contain no lignin for maximize protection of your artwork.
To work against the harm caused by UV rays, we carry a range of glazing options with UV protection that protects your artworks against fading of colors. Furthermore, these glazing are anti-reflective for better visibility on your artwork.
Below are the glazing options for your selection:
